Carolyn Johns
Carolyn Johns has been an international documentary photographer for 25 years. She was one of the first Australian photographers to be commissioned by National Geographic.
Her work has been commissioned by such publications as Time magazine, the London Sunday Times, The Observer, U.S. National Geographic, Condé Nast publications (such as Traveller and Vanity Fair) and was one of 100 of the world’s best photo-journalists to be represented in the famous book A Day in the Life of Australia. She has produced picture stories for films (Mad Max 2,Babe – A Pig in the City, The Quiet American, Ned Kelly and Getting Square among them) and has worked in advertising and corporate reportage, tourism, producing books, documentaries, portraits, film stills and gallery shoots.
